I'm not looking for a yearbook with my picture in it. I am looking for a yearbook with a good friend who died on the school grounds on Nov. 4, 1966. His name was Lee Roy Fuson, Jr. He & my brother, Doug Adams, were best friends. They enlisted in the Army together in 1965, when the Draft was on. Doug got Germany, Lee Roy 'Nam. Lee Roy's parents got him out on a hardship discharge, as his Dad was disabled and he helped support the family. He was a handsome James Dean type daredevil and he died from the cable snapping and falling a long distance down, then getting dragged, as the South wind was blowing hard prior to a front. I was 12 then and his death affected me deeply. He was my first crush, someone I will never forget. I would so love to see his face again. I would draw and paint him. My brother would love this, he has no pictures left of them together. He was in Frankfurt when he got the news about his best friend. Register to view contact info |
